Irene does DXB Today!
Adds TV Fashion Stylist to CV 🤩.
They say “it’s never too late to focus on your dreams.” Those of you who’ve followed me here for a while, will know my dream job is to be a TV Fashion Stylist (like on This Morning/Lorraine, ITV). Well, yesterday I had the most amazing opportunity and experience with Dubai One tv filming a segment for DXB Today with presenters Dina Butti, Amy Kitchingman, Tom Urquhart and guest presenter Sujata Assomull, all about fashion sustainability. There were chats about Paris Fashion week with Sujata Assomull, lab grown diamonds with the fab Basma from Etika Jewels and sustainable fashion plus flea markets with yours truly!
I was delighted to have some of my favourite homegrown UAE based sustainable brands with me including @emiliaohrtmann, @sustainably.u and @sundayschilddubai who were the perfect models for their own brands (also @misoldxb_shoes were featured).
Have I manifested this!? Maybe I have? But this morning I’m still on a high from it all. It was just brilliant being on set and on the show with my loveliest pal @dinabutti who is just amazing at what she does!
I wore an @emiliaohrtmannofficial blouse (made from Tencel – wood pulp) plus earrings from sustainable jewellery brand @odisstudio.
Keeping it real, my silver trousers are from Zara and my shoes are from Mango. Â Am I on my way to getting 30 wears out of these high street pieces – yes I am. Sustainable fashion has so many layers.
